How to Wash Waves to Relieve Itchy Hair and Scalp?

I made a post a while back few weeks ago about the importance of washing and conditioning your hair and scalp. One of the most annoying things and one of the main reasons we need to wash our hair is because of an itchy scalp. When you constantly have an urge to scratch your head every few minutes you may be experiencing dirty hair or dandruff. One of the main reasons , you may need to wash your hair is because we use a lot of products throughout a weeks time. If you have waves and your wolfing, more than likely you maybe using butters, moisturizers, oils or pomades whether natural or unnatural you are putting products in your hair . Say throughout the week you may be involved in sports, if you play sports you will sweat. Sweating is the release of liquid from the body's sweat glands. One of the main places we sweat from is our scalp. This sweat can cause our hair to dry out naturally and cause itch when it blends with other bacteria that's why its a good thing to moisturize daily and wash and condition weekly. I don't believe you need to wash your hair everyday especially if you use unnatural shampoos and conditioners, have waves. or sweat everyday. Instead, its best to moisturize daily then wash and condition your hair and scalp weekly. Also, something I rarely do but you can instead of moisturizing everyday you can replace "moisturizing" with doing a co-wash/leave-in conditioner daily to help minimize the dryness and dirt that accumulates throughout a weeks time. Taking care of hair will show but just because you do take care of it it doesn't mean it will eliminate all problems. Learn to work with what you have and what you do. Washing your hair cleanses all the dirt out and the conditioner gives you a slick quicker bounce back from washing everything out. If you use natural products it does not/or should not strip out natural hair oils because it does not contain sulfates. Sulfates are not natural as a ingredient to wash your hair in shampoos in a sense that it doesn't work well with your natural hair oils. But whatever you choose to use let it be because it helps you the best particularly for those who have waves. A great way to wash your hair to relieve itchy hair and scalp is by washing and styling. Also you want to wash at least twice at one setting. First wash to clean your hair out of all the dirt and grime. Second wash is to lather up your hair better and get an overall better wash. Then condition your hair to rejuvenate you hair better and quicker. If you have waves these are the basic steps you can modify to help keep your waves intact.

How to Wash Waves to Relieve Itchy Hair and Scalp?

1. Brush with the grain of your pattern. 1-5 min

2. Comb with grain of your pattern.

3. Wet/Dampen your hair with Warm-Hot Water.

4. Apply the shampoo with the grain.

5. Scramble the shampoo in.

6. Comb back into the pattern of your waves.

7. Brush with grain of your pattern for 5-15 min.

8. Rinse the first wash out with cool-cold water.

9. Apply more shampoo with the grain of your pattern. This time the shampoo will lather better and prepare you for a good brush session for 10-30 mins. (Keep your hair wet don't let it dry up to prevent over curling and frizz. Also, add more shampoo when needed to lather better.)

10. Brush you hair for 10-30 min.

11. Make sure your hair is laid (use a plastic bag) and then put on your compression (durags and stocking caps)

12. Put on the compression and then rinse it out with cool-cold water while the compression is still on.

13. After this is completed wait until your hair is dry completely before you take your compression off. Once it dry, you can take it off and see the results.
