1.Wolfing-
the more hair on your head the more hair to train. Every level of hair will be trained to lay from the roots of your head to the top with great wolfing. Wolfing is the process of growing your out while brushing and compressing for an extended period of time without receiving a haircut just free-hand trims, lineups and tapers to manage your wolf. A great wolf can last 4 weeks and an even greater wolf can last for 8 weeks without a haircut. Depending on different things some people can last a wolf for 8 or more weeks without a haircut. If you are just beginning your wave journey a great start would be wolfing for 4 weeks first. Every week, to help manage your waves try to get free-hand trims, lineups and tapers but do not cut hair off the top for 4 weeks or for however long you decide to wolf . After that 4 weeks is done, you can then get a haircut but only a haircut that will keep your hair thick. Depending on hair texture, you can ask for a certain guard to get a cut with. Ask for something that will not cut off progress from the the previous wolf. After the cut, try to wolf longer the next time push this next wolf for 8 weeks or another 4 weeks. Repeat the process from previous wolfs after that 8 weeks or 4 weeks get a haircut that suits your wave progress because you do not want to lose progress. The more hair a waver cuts off the more likely to lose progress. During this time, you will find your wavelength to get a haircut with and find what works for your hair texture.
2. Brush and Compress More-
adding in more brush sessions and longer compression will help to train your hair and waves not just on top but at the bottom. If you want deep waves you have to train not just the hair on top but the hair on the bottom. Say you brush a hour a day, try to add another session throughout your day like 30 min session just to brush more. For example, you compress 1 hour and when you go to bed if you want to get deeper waves compress for extra hours plus when you go to bed. Deep waves come from trained waves you want to train your hair to lay at all lengths. The more you brush and compress the more your waves are going to pop.
